Senior Hydrogeologist
Keith Taylor is the Senior Hydrogeologist on the St.Germain & Associates team. In this capacity, Mr. Taylor specializes in the interpretation of geologic, water quality and chemical data. Mr. Taylor has particular expertise in assessing risk, liability, remedial options and redevelopment opportunities on contaminated properties. He has completed this work on sites ranging from a 1.2 million-square foot abandoned textile mill to a 600,000-acre timberland parcel. Mr. Taylor also applies these skills to water supply studies such as ground water exploration, wellhead protection, water system security and water quality testing. Mr. Taylor is also well versed in state and federal regulations regarding petroleum management, hazardous waste, solid waste and wastewater. His permitting and compliance project experience is diverse and has included coastal wetland alteration permits, environmental compliance audits and wastewater discharge license applications. Mr. Taylor also has worked as a technical representative for municipalities and water utilities on Superfund sites and large-scale permitting projects and is skilled in communicating technical information to the public, agencies and boards.
Prior to joining St.Germain & Associates, Mr. Taylor was employed as a technical consultant for Stratex, a subsidiary of firm Bernstein Shur, one of the largest law firms in northern New England. He also has worked for several other environmental and water supply consulting firms in Maine and New Hampshire, resulting in a total of 20 years experience in environmental consulting.

Former Great Northern Paper Mills, Millinocket, Maine On behalf of potential buyer, conducted full environmental due diligence on two several-hundred acre paper mills including solid waste, hazardous waste, air emission, wastewater and petroleum management compliance.
City of Lewiston, Maine Managed EPA-funded Brownfields assessment of a 1.2-million square foot textile mill. Work included sampling plan development, field work management and remedial options assessment.
Hancock Lumber: Wiscasset, Brunswick and Damariscotta, Maine Completed pre-transaction environmental site assessments on three lumber stores for buyer. Work included regulatory records review, water quality sampling and extensive interaction with Maine DEP.
Various Water Utilities, Maine Completed vulnerability assessments and emergency response plans for 10 Maine water utilities serving over 125,000 customers as required by new Homeland Security laws.
Kingfield and Rangeley Water Districts, Maine Provided technical expertise during the permitting process for a bottled water company that proposed to extract water from the same aquifers used by the water districts.
Various Paper Companies, Northern Maine Completed environmental site assessments on 1.8-million acres of timberland in northern Maine. Projects required land and air-based reconnaissance and extensive records reviews.
