 Patrick Coughlin:
Senior Scientist
Patrick Coughlin serves St.Germain & Associates as a Senior Scientist. In this capacity, Mr. Coughlin specializes in interpreting and applying local, state, and federal environmental and land use regulations to existing and emerging projects. With his knowledge of chemistry and regulations, Mr. Coughlin provides comprehensive compliance for industrial sites, including hazard communication, management of wastes, spill planning and response, and site investigations. He also holds considerable experience in directing waste management activities, including the characterization, management, bulk loading, transportation logistics and disposal of hazardous, infectious and solid wastes at industrial and municipal sites. Mr. Coughlin has managed the local and state permitting for numerous land development projects and has developed strong professional relationships with state and federal environmental regulatory officials.
Prior to joining St.Germain & Associates, Mr. Coughlin was employed in environmental compliance, public affairs, and decommissioning waste management at the Maine Yankee Atomic Power Company in Wiscasset, Maine, as a mobile environmental lab manager with Transwest Geochem in Arizona and as a high school chemistry/middle school science teacher at Waynflete School in Portland, Maine.
